Description
This fun three-week workshop will provide demos and inspiration on painting with your intuition. Various techniques and exercises will be explored to help you create and experience more dynamic movement and feeling in your painting. Inspiration for subject matter can come from studying real-life objects, printed photos, sketchbooks, or your imagination! A materials list will be provided. Technique demos will include: mark-making, painting mindfully, painting abstractly, how to paint gesturally, exploring flow in your creative process, and intuitive color mixing. The classroom will open at 9:30 am. Demo and art talk will be at 10:15 am.

About the new classroom space: Ulna studio is a creative space located on the 2nd floor of the Portland Storage Building on SE Morrison st. There is one flight of stairs to get to the classroom. The elevator is sometimes available, but unfortunately can’t be guaranteed.
