Description
This workshop is an excellent chance for participants of all skill levels to delve into the world of ceramic art, creating a functional and personalized item for summer berries.
Jess Faulk will guide you through using a custom template and the slab-building method to craft a unique ceramic berry bowl and trivet. You’ll learn the basics of slab construction including how to properly roll out slabs, joining pieces of clay, and how to pierce holes through your piece for rinsing and draining your berries. We will fire and glaze your piece in a food-safe, dishwasher-safe, glossy white glaze for you to pick up after firing.
No experience needed and all supplies Included. This workshop is open to ages 16 and up.
Please Note:
- Pickup Schedule: Your completed planter will be ready for collection between July 11th and August 11th during open studio hours. We do not send out notifications, so please mark these dates on your calendar.
- Open Studio Hours for Pickup: Thursdays 5-9 PM, Fridays 4-8 PM, Saturdays 1-5 PM, and Sundays 12-2 PM.
- Unclaimed Work Policy: Remember to collect your work within the specified time frame, as unclaimed pieces will be discarded or donated to a scholarship fundraiser.
