Description

Keep it small, make it mighty! This playful 5-week series is dedicated to the art of tiny things—mini sculptures, creatures, objects, scenes, characters, treasures, and curiosities. Whether you arrive with a specific vision or simply want to explore and be inspired, this class is all about creative freedom in miniature form.

Rin Noelle of Bang Bang Crafts will guide you through sculpting techniques designed specifically for small-scale building. Each week includes demos, creative prompts, and hands-on support as you build a personal collection of tiny clay works that tell a story or celebrate your individual style.

What You’ll Learn

  • Fundamentals of miniature sculpting using your hands, tools, and additive building methods
  • How scale impacts form, strength, and surface detail
  • Techniques for refining, smoothing, and texturing tiny surfaces
  • Attaching small parts securely
  • Underglaze decorating, simple surface design, and glaze application for glossy or matte finishes
  • How to create a cohesive collection or themed series

What to Expect

This class is relaxed, beginner-friendly, and imagination-forward. You are welcome to:

  • Bring your own ideas or sketches
  • Explore inspiration provided in class
  • Experiment with character sculpting, tiny functional objects, fantasy elements, nature forms, and more
  • Build multiple pieces over five weeks to create a finished collection

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a delightful grouping of miniatures that can be displayed together, gifted, or cherished as personal talismans- each one full of handmade magic.

No prior clay experience needed—just curiosity and a love of tiny things!
