Join us for a creative and skill-building week at Radius Art Studio’s Handbuilding & Sculpture Camp! This camp is perfect for kids ages 8–11 who love working with their hands and are excited to explore clay through creative projects.
This camp focuses on building and sculpting with clay using a variety of handbuilding techniques, giving students a chance to experiment and make unique work. Lessons will include building and sculpting with clay using pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Students will shape, assemble, and decorate their own unique projects with underglaze
Campers will create several finished pieces while building confidence with clay and learning the basics of the ceramic process.
Class size is limited to 8 students for more individualized instruction.
All finished pieces will be fired and glazed by Radius staff and will be ready for pickup at our Young Artist Open House on Saturday, September 4th from 2:30–4pm. If you cannot attend the open house, artwork may be picked up during open studio hours through October 5th.
We recommend packing a daily snack to keep the creativity flowing.
Important Note About Support Needs:
Each camp group has one instructor. If your child has behavioral, emotional, or learning needs that may require additional one-on-one support, please email us before registering so we can talk about whether this camp will be a good fit. Our goal is for every camper to feel safe, supported, and successful.
