We are excited to host our first ever sliding scale ceramics workshop. This class is limited to 6 participants, and registration is limited to one spot per person. The cost for this workshop is $25-$100, pay what you can. Though we recognize that not everyone can afford the $25 material fee, we hope this sliding scale option gives easier access to those that experience financial barriers.
Curious about trying your hand at the pottery wheel? Your instructor, Jess Faulk, will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing during the session. You can keep your favorite piece, which we will fire and glaze for you after the class and your final piece can be collected during drop off/ pick up hours 1 month after your class. Please note: we do not notify you when your piece is finish- it will be available 1 month after your class. Please collect your piece no later than 2 months after the date of your workshop.
Structure: Workshop starts with an instructor demo. Next you will be led through the throwing process as you create your own piece. After that you can make a second piece more independently. In the end you will choose which one you want to keep and together we will clean up the space.
COVID POLICY: We do not supply aprons, so be sure to bring your own or make sure to wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you have long hair, please wear it pulled back. We require everyone wash their hands upon entering the studio and sanitize their wheel after use. Make sure to wear a mask that stays over your nose and mouth while you are bending over the wheel.
