Description

Curious about trying your hand at the pottery wheel? Your instructor, Jess Faulk, will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing during this session. You can keep your favorite piece, which we will fire and glaze for you after the class. Your finished piece can be collected during our Open Hours, one month after your workshop date.

Please arrive on time, as the demo begins promptly at the workshop start time. If you arrive late it will hold up the class, and make it less likely that the group will be able to make a second piece.

We start class with an instructor demo, then you will be led through the throwing process as you create your own piece. If time permits, you can make a second piece more independently. You may choose one piece to keep, and together we will clean up the space.

We do not supply aprons, make sure to wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you have long hair please wear it pulled back.

Workshops are for ages 18+

Please note, due to the volume of workshops we host you will not be notified when your piece is ready. We will hold your completed piece(s) for one month after the “ready for pick up” date, they will be available for pick up during Open Hours. Unclaimed work will be recycled or donated.

Cancellation policy:

For a refund or credit, cancellations or exchanges must be requested at least 3 weeks before the start date of the workshop. If you qualify for a refund (your request is made more than 3 weeks in advance), we subtract a 10% fee to cover the costs of the web service fees.

Sorry, no exceptions! While we understand that sometimes things happen, we are unable to recoup the expense of empty spaces in workshops and are unable to refund or reschedule even in the case of covid or a family emergency.
