Join us for this two-session hands-on workshop and create your very own customized mug! Perfect for participants of all skill levels, including complete beginners, this class is led by the talented Jess Faulk and provides a fun and creative introduction to slab-building techniques.
What to Expect:
During the workshop, Jess will guide you step-by-step through the process of rolling out clay slabs, using templates, and constructing a functional and uniquely designed mug. Along the way, you’ll learn fundamental clay techniques and explore some of the creative possibilities of design, form, and finishing. Then you will return to finish the surface of your pieces for a bonus painting session
All Supplies Provided: We’ve got everything you need to bring your mug to life. After the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to come back for a bonus open studio session to continue to decorate your piece, and then we will finish it with a clear glaze and fire it for you to pickup when its ready!
Bonus Open Studio Session: If you would like to customize the surface of your pieces by painting and applying color to your piece, you’ll want to return for a free Open Studio session to finish your project independently. Choose one of the following timeslots to put the finishing touches on your piece:
- Tuesday, Oct 27th: 1-5 PM
- Friday, Oct 30th: 4–8 PM
- Saturday, Oct 31st: 1–5 PM
- Sunday, Nov 1st: 10 AM–2 PM
Important Details:
- Eligibility: Open to participants aged 14 and older.
- Pickup Window: Your completed mug will be ready for pickup between December 1st & December 19th during open studio hours (just in time to give as a holiday gift!) Please note: we do not send notifications for pickups, so be sure to mark your calendar. Open hours for collection are:
- Tuesdays: 1-5PM
- Fridays: 4-8 PM
- Saturdays: 1-5 PM
- Sundays: 10 AM-2 PM
