Description
Curious about learning to dye with Indigo? Meet with us for this fun and relaxed afternoon workshop!
We’ll review the basics of indigo dye methods and have several buckets of indigo dye for you to practice and experiment with patterning techniques and designs. Clamps, blocks, rubber bands, string, and marbles, and 4 cotton flower sack towels will be provided. You’re also welcome to bring some items from home to dye. Cotton fibers work best.
Because indigo dyeing can be messy and take up space, we’ll be meeting for class in instructor Jolyn Fry’s backyard (SE Foster-Powell area, the exact address will be sent out after you register). Please contact the instructor directly with questions @ jolynafry@nullgmail.com
Four Cotton square flour sack towels will be provided to each student for dyeing. For those of us that are ambitious and like to make lots of different designs, we’ll have extra flour sack towels available for purchase.
*Please note: We do not supply aprons, so make sure to wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting accidentally blue.
