Description

Join Lettie Jane Rennekamp for a playful afternoon making art.

This class is designed for high school students who want to try their hand at collaborative art projects and connecting with other artists. We will practice using alternative mark making, multi media materials and talking about our work. Students will be given the opportunity to paint and draw from still life, using a wide variety of art materials, from watercolor to pastel and house paint. They will be asked to collaborate on each other’s artwork, add and subtracting elements. This helps students learn new strategies for making work and honing what kind of art making they prefer, it builds connection and ease in art making. This class is aimed at giving high school age students a space to experiment and push their boundaries of art making.
