Description

In this one day workshop, instructor Adrienne Eliades will demonstrate surface design techniques using removable cut vinyl stickers. We will learn underglaze and glaze decoration utilizing pre-cut vinyl shapes for resist on bisque ware. Discussion topics will include the materials, tools, and processes that can be explored. Students will be able to practice the vinyl application methods on 2-3 bisque forms they supply from cone 6 clay of their choice.

If students do not have their own bisqueware, Radius will provide test tiles for experimentation. Radius will fire up to 3 pieces per student, which can be picked up post-firing, one month after class, during open studio hours.

This class is open to all skill levels. Hand-builders and wheel throwers are welcome! Previous experience in clay will be helpful, but not necessary.

Please note, due to the volume of workshops we host you will not be notified when your piece is ready. We will hold your completed piece(s) for one month after the “ready for pick up” date, they will be available for pick up during Open Hours. Unclaimed work will be recycled or donated.
