Workshop fee includes 12 instructed sessions, 20 firing slips, 25 lbs of clay, and 24 free open studio hours.
This workshop is designed to fit the needs of both beginning and intermediate ceramics students. Students will learn the basics of how to throw on the potter’s wheel, or continue to develop their skills. Beginning students will explore the creation of basic forms such as cups and bowls as well as firing and glazing techniques, while intermediate/advanced students explore more challenging techniques including larger forms, lidded pieces, and multiples.
No previous clay experience necessary.
This session includes 24 free “open studio” hours to come in and practice (without instruction) outside of class times. These open hours will be limited to Thursday 5pm- 9pm, Friday 4pm-8pm, Saturday 1pm-5pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm.
