Description
The workshop fee includes 12 sessions, 30 instr. hours + 20 firing slips, and 25lbs of clay.
Students also get 24 free “open studio” hours to come in and practice (without instruction) outside of class times. These open hours will be limited to Thursday 5pm- 9pm, Friday 4pm-8pm, Saturday 1pm-5pm and Sunday 11am-3pm.
During this 12 week long class, students will have time to go deeper and further develop their wheel throwing skills. We will explore throwing larger, adding attachments, altering forms and several surface decorating techniques. The lessons will be a mix of skill building exercises and project based lessons, and are always informed by the student’ s goals. This class is geared towards those who have a basic foundation in clay, with an end goal that everyone will leave throwing more informed, even walled, larger pieces. 12 weeks of prior clay experience is required. Students should be able to throw a 6 inch even walled cylinder. Learn more about the instructor, Jess Faulk.
