Description
This hands-on 12 week handbuilding workshop caters to both beginner and intermediate students. Class times will combine demonstrations and one-on-one guidance from our experienced instructor. Lessons are catered to help students reach their individual goals. You’ll learn fundamental techniques like pinch pots, coil and slab construction, and more intricate skills such as using bisque molds and various surface design and glazing techniques. Your instructor will provide project ideas and personalized assistance to help you overcome challenges as you bring your unique ceramic visions to life.
No prior experience with clay is necessary. This workshop is perfect for those new to ceramics or those looking to enhance their existing abilities.
What’s Included:
- 12 Instructed Sessions, 2.5 hours each
- Material and Tools: Each student will receive 25 lbs of clay, 20 firing slips, and access to tools and our large selection of custom glazes.
- 24 free Open Studio Hours to Practice independently. Open Studio Hours are valid through the end of the 12 week course. Hours are redeemed in 2 hour “blocks”. Additional hours can be purchased at $20/2 hour block.
Open Studio Hours:
Thursdays, 5pm-9pm
Fridays, 4pm-8pm
Saturdays, 1pm-5pm
Sundays, 10am-2pm
