Resins, Epoxies, and Colored Clay Bodies with Visiting Artist Brent Pafford
Date: January 18th and 19th
Time: 10am-5pm both days
Location: Radius Art Studio One, 322 SE Morrison st
Radius is excited to host artist Brent Pafford for this two day, hands on workshop. Brent will be sharing the secrets to his process, focusing on both the challenges and successes he has found though experimentation. Learn from his years of experience incorporating non ceramic materials into his ceramic work. Participants will get to color clay bodies, make and pour their own glitter resin, use epoxy to attach found object handles, play with latex resist, alter wheel thrown forms and more. Each student is asked to bring 3-7 fired forms for practicing the resin pouring process and attaching handles, and any “handles” they would like to attach. All other supplies are included. Although this workshop is open to beginners, it is geared towards intermediate or advanced ceramics artists looking to build on their skills. Artists will be able to take their finished work home with them, along with the knowledge gained through Brent’s demonstrations and their own hands on experimentation in the workshop. Space is limited so register today!
